Digging Deeper into Your Faith
A Christian Education Study for Middle School Students
(Ages 11, 12 & 13)
Digging Deeper into Your Faith will be a study offered for youth ages 11-13 beginning the end of August 2009. It will take participants through the New Testament books of Romans, Hebrews, Ephesians, James and 1, 2 & 3 John.
The first session (August – December) is a 13 week study of Romans and Hebrews. Students live in a mixed-up world of religious tolerance. They hear different voices stating that, for the most part, we’re good people, that all religions have merit, and there are many ways to get to heaven. The study of Romans will refute those messages with the truth that we are all sinners and salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ. The study of Hebrews will reinforce the superiority and authority of Jesus as Savior and Lord.
The second session (January – April) is a 13 week study of Ephesians, James and 1, 2 & 3 John. Students desire to follow Christ and live lives that make a difference, but many are unsure of what that means. This study will help them understand the basics of living the Christian life. They will discover that salvation comes only by grace through faith, but that faith is active and is expressed through their works. They will also discover the great love of God demonstrated to them through Christ and their calling now to express that love to others.
Study Objectives:
· For students to have a better understanding of what they believe, for them to recognize the truths and lies that surround them and learn how to demonstrate God’s love to others.
· To facilitate a peer group of middle-school aged kids from families with similar values.
When: The study will meet on Mondays from 4:30 – 5:45 pm.
Where: The study will meet at the Watchorn’s house, ul. Saneczkowa 33B in Konstancin.
Who: The study will be lead by Leanna Watchorn and Els Van Eelen.
Materials used: We will be using the LSVI series developed by Lifeway Ministries. You can read about this series at

Is there homework? Participants will be expected to complete around 1 page of pre-work per week.
Must we attend ICF to participate? No.
