What You Can Expect
If you choose to join us any Sunday for our 5:00 PM celebration service, you can expect to be welcomed warmly, and encouraged to worship God with us. With the diversity of our backgrounds, we find there is no "right way" to do things but great freedom to practice your faith in a way that is meaningful. We take great joy in being together and in celebrating our faith, and all that God has done and is doing in our lives. You may hear several different languages spoken in conversations, but English is our common language in worship. Our services are fairly simple, so you can sit where you like, relax, and the rest will come pretty easily. Just so you know, at some point during our service we will take up our weekly offering, which is used to meet our financial needs. Even this is pretty low-key, and you can participate or not participate as you desire.
Our Style of Worship
We really enjoy singing as part of our celebration experience, so our band and singers will lead the way for us. We usually sing 4 or 5 songs together, and usually select songs that are commonly accepted as "choruses". We also feel free to mix in a hymn or two, honoring our diversity of backgrounds. We typically stand to sing, but that is not a requirement, so you are free to stand, sit, sing, or not sing, as you please. Most of our music is pretty easy to sing, and easily recognized by folks with any experience in the church. If you don't recognize any of it, or don't care to sing, feel free to just listen to us.
The Message
Each Sunday, we look to the Bible for words of encouragement and challenge as we seek to be God's body in Warsaw. We normally follow a series of messages that offer information on what God is trying to tell us, and how He would like us to live out our lives and our faith here in Warsaw. While we try to be relevant, timely, and accurate, our hope is that you will find a connection with God while with us.
Children Are Important
Parents are invited to take their Preschoolers directly to "Kid’s Corner" where they will be lovingly cared for during the entire service. School-age children up to and including Grade 5 may go to "Kids Rock" at approximately 5:15 after a special children’s song and prayer. The children's programs will finish about the same time the service ends and parents can pick them up from their meeting rooms.
Extras
If you happen to be with us on the first Sunday of the month, the service will include the celebration of the Lord's Supper or Communion. During this service we remember the sacrifice Christ made for our salvation. This involves distributing bread and a choice of wine or juice, which you may choose based on your church background. This experience is widely practiced in the Church by those who profess faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. If that doesn't describe you, we invite you to quietly observe.
